Tonight. Is. The. Night. Y'all. It's the 86th Annual Miss Southwestern Virginia Pageant, and Derek Tyler Taylor is fightin' tooth and well-manicured nail to win the crown. But when the road to victory is bumpier than a sock fulla Skittles™, Derek must decide how dirty he's willing to play to make his lifelong dream come true.
NEIL D'ASTOLFO (duh-STAHL-fo) (Playwright/Performer) is a New York-based actor, comedian and writer. Acting credits include The Comedy of Errors, A Midsummer Night’s Dream and Macbeth (Classic Stage Company), Family (Pershing Square Signature Center Studio), as well as workshops at Cherry Lane Theatre, NYSAF, New York Theatre Workshop, Rattlestick Playwrights Theater, Soho Rep., and Women’s Project Theatre. TV: “High Fidelity” (upcoming) "The Path" (Hulu), "Understudies" (dailymotion). Film: The Healer. Neil’s first full-length play, Shameless, received a staged reading at Atlantic Stage 2 as part of PTP/NYC’s After Dark Series and made him a 2017 Semi-Finalist for a Creative Residency at SPACE on Ryder Farm. His second play, Mister Miss America, has made Neil a finalist at SPACE and was recently shared as a developmental reading at Playwrights Horizons South Studios. Neil is currently an actor at the Upright Citizens Brigade (UCB) Theatre’s Maude Night, performing on house sketch team Peach. Neil is currently an adjunct professor at Pace University’s School of Performing Arts. He is also a certified mindfulness meditation instructor and teaches at MNDFL Meditation.
