VANESSA SMYTHE

COME WITH

Written & Performed by Vanessa Smythe

Directed by Adam Fitzgerld

We’re waitressing in a bar, and the guy doesn’t speak English. We entwine with a stranger until a van takes us away. Love is lost. Death is found. And my little brother tries to play guitar.

“Smythe is a charming, spontaneous performer with a big grin, restless energy and genuine gift for poetic narrative. Her stories ring true, whether she's describing attending her younger brother's Grade 8 graduation or initiating a drunk booty call with an ex.”

– Glenn Sumi, NOW
